Frequently asked questions.
Purity and testing, ordering and payment, shipping and storage, and compliance — the questions researchers actually ask before their first order. Can't find yours? Ask us directly.
Purity, testing & quality
What purity do Helix peptides meet?
Every lot meets a documented purity floor (≥98% on most compounds, ≥99% on select tripeptides), quantified by reversed-phase HPLC. It's a minimum, not a target — see the per-compound purity on each product page.
How is identity confirmed, not just purity?
Mass spectrometry confirms the molecular identity (expected mass) of every lot, separately from the HPLC purity measurement. Both results are documented on that lot's Certificate of Analysis.
Is the COA real, or a template?
The linked documents in the COA Library are specimen copies showing the exact format and fields you'll receive — they're labeled as such. The completed identity, purity, and lot data for your specific shipment are issued on the certificate that ships with your order, not invented after the fact.
Who tests the material — Helix, or someone independent?
See our Quality Standards page for the full synthesis-to-fulfillment chain. Every lot is characterized by RP-HPLC and mass spectrometry before it's released, and results are logged per lot number.
Why do you carry fewer compounds than other suppliers?
So we can document and explain each one properly instead of listing hundreds of SKUs we can't stand behind. See About.
Ordering, inquiries & payment
Why is there no cart or checkout button?
This is a high-risk category where mainstream card processors don't support research peptides, and payment ambiguity does more harm than good. Ordering is a short, transparent inquiry instead — see the 5-step flow on Contact.
How fast do you respond to an inquiry?
We reply within one business day. No account or payment is required to ask a question or request availability.
What payment methods are accepted?
Bank transfer, or another vetted method depending on the compound — you'll see exactly what's offered on your itemized invoice before you pay anything. Some compounds (the GLP-1 analogs) are inquiry/bank-transfer/crypto only and are never offered by card.
Do you offer bulk, wholesale, or institutional pricing?
Yes — see Institutional & Bulk Orders for volume-tiered quotes, PO-friendly invoicing for university purchasing offices, and custom synthesis requests.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Yes, any time before dispatch. Once a cold-chain shipment is in transit it can't be recalled — contact us immediately if something changes.
Shipping, storage & delivery
How is a temperature-sensitive peptide shipped?
Lyophilized (freeze-dried), packed with insulated materials and gel packs, dispatched within one business day of a confirmed order, with tracking emailed to you.
Do you ship internationally, and who handles customs?
Yes, to most destinations. Customs duties, taxes, and import rules are the recipient's responsibility — check your local regulations before ordering. See the Shipping Policy for details.
How should I store a peptide after it arrives?
Immediately at −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light. Follow your institution's safety protocols for handling research chemicals — full detail on Quality Standards.
Is packaging discreet?
Outer packaging carries no product branding. It's addressed and invoiced from Helix Reagents LLC, not disguised — we don't hide who's shipping it, only what's printed on the box.
What if a shipment arrives damaged or doesn't match its COA?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order reference and evidence; we'll replace or refund the affected item. See the Refund & Return Policy for the full terms.
Compliance & legal
What does “Research Use Only” actually mean here?
These are reference chemicals for in-vitro laboratory research by qualified professionals — not drugs, supplements, or cosmetics, and not for human or veterinary use. See Compliance.
Will you answer dosing or usage questions?
No. We don't provide dosing, administration, or human/veterinary-use guidance anywhere on this site, and we decline requests for it — that's a firm policy, not an oversight.
Are the research citations on product pages real?
Yes — each Learn article links to public, verifiable sources (PubChem, PubMed) as a starting point for the primary literature, provided for scientific context only, never as an efficacy claim.
Why don't I see customer reviews yet?
Reviews only publish after we can match the reviewer to a real, completed order, and each is moderated before it appears — we don't fabricate or incentivize reviews. See About for the full policy.
Who is legally responsible for what I do with the material?
You are. By ordering you confirm you're acquiring materials for lawful laboratory research and are responsible for compliance with your jurisdiction's laws, including import rules. Full terms on Compliance.
